Faik Halici – Owner

Known around Bethesda as THE color and cut specialist, Faik displays artistic vision and unrivaled attention to detail. Clients are extremely satisfied with Faik's styles and individualized attention to their needs. Faik keeps up with the latest techniques and hair trends as they appear on the fashion scene and continues to improve his skills through training with the elite educators in the industry. By way of background, Faik worked in the Potomac area for 7 years, was personally trained by one of The Washingtonian's Top Stylists, and now owns his own salon, Studio 47 Spa, in Bethesda.

Martin Keith Cohen

Martin Cohen is a Chevy Chase native.  He has been in hair styling and hair care for over 25 years.  He attended several academies and stays updated through classes.  He worked very successfully at both the Rainbow in Chevy Chase for 13 years, and with "Tony and Guy" in Dallas, nationally famous salon.  As owner of his own salon in Bethesda, Martin understands that the client's perception of their image is a number one priority.  His ability to translate a client's wishes into their finished look is truly a gift.  

Gregory Luff

Gregory received his professional education and training at a well-known academy in Akron, Ohio. He then began his career working at, as well as managing, a well known salon in Fairlawn, an affluent suburb of Akron. It was here that he put his education to full use and gained practical experience in color and cuts. After two years in Fairlawn, he moved to North Canton, Ohio, to become a stylist in a salon which catered to the needs of an elite clientele. He perfected his color and cut skills then relocated to the Chevy Chase/Washington DC area to accept the position of Manager, Woodward and Lothrop In-House Salon. 

Gregory's next move was to a stylist position at Rainbow Hair Designers where he remained for 17 years. Now he brings his vast knowledge and expertise to Studio 47 Spa. Gregory is best known for his advanced technical skills in high-end color and haircuts which he combines with his perfection in dealing with each client. 

Mala Suon

Mala Suon is one of the younger stylists at Studio 47 Spa. She is personally fashionable and brings a youthful, trendy style to her hair cuts. She has over 10 years experience and attends hair shows to keep up with the latest styles. Mala's specialty is hair with style and flair; raw, edgy beauty with a sometimes funky approach to hair and fashion keeps clients happy and fashion forward.

Maria Herrera

Maria recently joined out staff as a manicurist.  She comes to us with top credentials and has worked in the field as a specialist in manicures and pedicures.  In addition, she is skilled in the delicate elements of waxing.  Maria brings with her over 20 years of experience working with clients in the Chevy Chase area.  She is a professional who enjoys a challenge and who displays precision in her work.  Client satisfaction is her goal.

Mia Takeno

Mia Takeno has a wide variety of skills in designing and cutting hair.  Additionally, she is an expert with Japanese hair and hairstyles.  Have you heard of Kawaii style?  It is an Asian/ Japanese trend:  Kawaii hair styles vary widely with some characterized by a very soft, flowing look featuring large waves or curls at the end of the hair, while others feature short chunky pieces cut in an asymmetrical style.  All require a cut that allows the hair to fall into place with minimal product.  Mia's experience is sought after by clients who want that look or whose hair lends itself to those styles.  Mia is from Japan; her wide range of expertise is a welcome addition to the salon.
